OPPORTUNITIES

It feels good to be sending this and I hope it feels good to hear from me!
I’ve been thinking about how big of a blessing it is to be presented with divine opportunities to practice the change we ultimately want to see in our lives. As I’ve made so many recent self commitments, I keep finding myself in situations that ‘challenge’ me to stay on task. To choose myself. To choose differently. To put my work in action. And it’s such a beautiful awareness.
Situations that would have felt hard, triggering and tired, I’ve been meeting with the attitude of “oh, I’m getting another opportunity to practice what I’ve been preaching to myself”. We’ve all lived enough life to know that it’s really all about perspective. These positive perspectives help give us the energy to move in a better way for ourselves. We could complain, keep saying ‘why me’. We could be frustrated, mad and play the victim role. Or we can choose to see ALL challenges as a divine opportunity for us to lay another brick down on a more healthy foundation for our life.
We sometimes have these large sweeping ideas in our head of how we want to evolve as a person. That’s not an overnight process. It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. We don’t blink and heal all the trauma we’ve been through. It takes daily deposits of change and shift. We have to choose as often as we can to move on the healthy path.
And don’t shoot the messenger in this process. These opportunities to evolve can come from anywhere and anyone. Zoom out. It’s not about the person or the situation, it’s God and the Universe giving you the opportunity to grow for yourself. I’ve literally been seeing life from this lens. Sometimes I may choose the same unhealthy behavior, but more and more I’m not. I watch the dialogue in my head start to review two options and choose the growth one. Action by action and decision by decision, I am changing. Shifting. I am loving the shit out of myself.
So I wanted to share this question for you to consider adding to your daily life things.
Is a divine opportunity being presented to me to be better to myself and put my true desires into action?
At the end of the day, it’s your work to do. It’s your life. Stay well!
